Spoken word is putting Croydon on the map, thanks to the rise of poets and artists such as Sugar J and Stormzy.

Yet it is the meaningful work and collaborations of Well Versed Ink, that is setting Thornton Heath ablaze. Their passion for poetry and their performance with the Living Free Art Collective saw a stimulating evening of art and spoken work for a packed crowd at Costa Coffee.

Darren Randon, Justine Agbowu and Natalie Twum-Barima met at the  inaugural Arts Week in 2014 and Well Versed Ink was born.

Supported by organisers of the festival, the talented trio were provided with a unique performance platform to develop their collaboration.

“Members of THAW have been fantastic ambassadors for Well Versed Ink,” said Darren.
