Volunteer leaders are needed for the Rainbow unit that meets at St James the Great School in Windsor Rd.  If no volunteers step forward, the unit will close at Christmas.

Girl Guiding is a great way to make friends and try new activities if you have just moved to the area, children have gone to university, left home or you’ve recently retired and still young at heart.

Everyone is so busy but Guiding groups are still going strong and need new leaders all over Croydon. There are Rainbow, Brownie, Guide and Ranger units needing volunteers to become new leaders, assistant leaders and occasional helpers. Training and support will be given and a DBS check will be required.

The time commitment is  around two hours a week plus occasional trainings and trips but more if you  want to be in charge of a unit.

Please message Louise Watts for more details or sign up at https://go.girlguiding.org.uk/join-us/join-as-volunteer/ Or call the free telephone number: 0800 1 69 59 01 (weekdays 9am-5pm)

There are also spaces in many units for girls:

Ages 5-7: Rainbows; 7-9: Brownies; 10-14: Guides and 14-18 Rangers.
