Last month The Thornton Heath Chronicle Facebook page received a record 50,000 views.
If every one of those people had donated just £1 towards supporting The Chronicle we would have the funds to continue for five years.
Since the last edition on our social media channels we have reported on the unfolding financial crisis facing the council and covered the hunt for the attacker stabbing school girls in Thornton Heath.
The number of people interested in local news shows the desire for good quality journalism is still strong but we need your support to carry on covering Thornton Heath news.
The Chronicle has always been funded on a shoestring with support from Community ward budgets and a Thornton Heath Community Action Team People’s Heath Trust bid in the past paying for the printing costs.
We would like wish our readers a Merry Christmas and with your continued support we hope to see you in the New Year. To donate to The Chronicle survival campaign: https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-local-newspapers
