A survey is asking residents to share their ideas on what they would like a community group to achieve over the next two years and how they can help to achieve that.

Volunteer led Thornton Heath Community Action Team is holding its first meeting for over a year on Zoom on Wednesday February 24 at 6.30pm.  The meeting, the first since Covid, will discuss the findings of the survey.

Guest speaker Dr Agnelo Fernandes, from the Parchmore Medical Practice will talk about the vaccination programme roll out and the impact of Covid on our community. He will be available to answer questions.

The meeting will mark a one minute silence providing the opportunity for family, friends, colleagues, neighbours and others suffering bereavement during this pandemic to commemorate a loved one.

Long time resident of Thornton Heath and THCAT member Cédric Monvoisin sadly passed in November aged 45. His partner Craig set up a fund to create a lasting memorial to Cédric which reached £8,500 . The aim is to plant 10 trees on Brook Road where Cédric lived.

Thre will be an update on the progress of the project at the meeting.
