He has cracked the music industry and now 25-year-old Stormyz is moving towards creating his own brand with the launch of #Merky Books.

In August he announced the Stormzy Scholarship to send four black British students to Cambridge and now the homegrown musician has launched his first title, Rise Up: The #Merky Story So Far which is a partnership with Penguin Books to  publish a new generation of mostly young and black writers of fiction, non-fiction and poetry.

Rise Up, is more of a homage to the team who has made him so successful including his manager Tobe Onwuka, who grew up with Stormzy (real name Michael Omari) around Thornton Heath and Norbury. The grime star also makes passing reference to being stabbed in the book.
