A marathon achievement saw Crystal Palace’s red and blue army of fans raise £70,000 for the local community.
More than 150 supporters, former players and the club chairman, Steve Parish, walked 26.2 miles from Selhurst Park to Trafalgar Square last Saturday in support of the Palace for Life Foundation Utilita Marathon March.
The sponsored walk has so far raised over £70,000 for the Foundation’s work with hard-to-reach youngsters across south London. Steve Parish, was joined on the March by Palace legends Andrew Johnson, Mark Bright, Neil Shipperley, Andy Gray and Sasa Curcic.
Parish, who started walking at 8am from Selhurst Park, said: “The Foundation is growing and doing so much good work in our community, reaching out to so many young people and making a difference to their lives.”
