AFC Croydon Athletic is preparing to restart the league programme after the suspension of football during the lock down with the prospect of a Christmas encounter with ground- sharers Balham FC.

The Bank Holiday fixture on December 28 which kicks off at 3pm will be the first time the two teams have faced each other in a competitive game and will see the Rams “at home” for this game, writes Paul Smith.

“We are looking forward to getting back playing again,” said Kevin Rayner, Manager of AFC Croydon Athletic first team. “The Christmas fixture against Balham will be a tough test.”

Balham Manager, Greg Cruttwell, has started their first campaign in our league very well but a local derby doesn’t usually concern itself with form and should prove an interesting tie.

On behalf of everyone at AFC Croydon Athletic we would like to wish all The Chronicle readers a very happy Christmas.
