EAGLE eyed Great British Bake Off fans spotted Grangewood Park in the introduction to one of the contestants in the Channel 4 show.

Trinidadian-born Jairzeno Paris who is head of finance at the Cystic Fibrosis Trust lives locally with partner Graeme, an ex-RAF serviceman and their greyhound rescue called Maxi who loves the park.

Sadly, Jairzeno, a keen runner who only started baking in 2014 because he was fed up with bakes that didn’t deliver on flavour, was the second to leave the tent after his Tall Ship 3D biscuit showstopper failed to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.

Undeterred he said: “I was half expecting that result because if you look at the showstopper compared to everyone else’s mine was quite basic.”

However, if you are fan of Jairzeno’s Caribbean inspired spicy bakes then check out his signature dishes on his Instagram page.
