Senior radiographer Apollo Exconde has designed an idea using lego bricks that could help make the experience of an MRI scanner less daunting for: children, plus-sized and anxious patients.

The Croydon University Hospital radiographer was inspired to come up with the Lego open MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) design as a solution to help patients conquer their fears ‘one Lego brick at a time. ‘

The LEGO figures will be positioned in a wide, unobstructed view so the patient can see how it would look like when they are being scanned.

For Lego to consider taking the idea forward it requires 1000 people to vote for Apollo’s idea: www.ideas.lego.com
