July is such a great month for the arts in Thornton Heath so, taking advantage of this our reviewer Linda Watson popped along to the library to check out this free art exhibition.

Twelve budding artists from Age UK’s art club plus their tutor – accomplished local artist Julie Beresford – are currently exhibiting their work at Thornton Heath library.

The library collection presents portraits, nudes, still life, sea and landscapes, using a variety of media. Some artists are prolific, exhibiting a range of pieces and others have submitted just one.

The art club for all those aged 50 plus takes place on Thursday at Age UK, from 10.30am to12.30pm and costs £2.50 per session.
