newly expanded lunch club is combining offering freshly cooked meals alongside health related exercise to older people.

Vice President of the Methodist Church, Mr Bala Gnanapragasm, formally opened the new look Parchmore Lunch Club provision at Parchmore Methodist Church and Community Centre.

With the help of refurbishments and generosity of construction company  Mulalley the space formally used by the lunch club will host the new  Food Stop which officially opens in October.

The Parchmore Lunch Club is now open to older residents from Monday to Friday from 10am to 2pm.  Alongside a freshly cooked, two course meal, Lunch Club members are also able to enjoy conversation, dominoes, bingo, puzzles, crafts andSkype conversations with friends and family.  

Two exercise instructors qualified in teaching health-related exercise to over 50’s, are offering exercise to music, exercise for the older person and advanced instruction in GP referral schemes and sports medicine as well as seated exercise..

This summer the Lunch Club  enjoyed a garden party and a group holiday in Great Yarmouth.  Specially themed events are offered twice monthly.
