It was Super Saturday at The Scorpions Frant Road ground as the Ladies’ 1st XV and Men’s 1st and 2nd XV all ran out on the same day for a triple header.

It was a mixed bag of results, but it was great to see the bar full and stands buzzing with support for all teams on February 3, writes Millie Ross.

The ladies beat  Ashford comfortably 36-7 while in a nail biting match the men’s 1st XV took on a rejuvenated Old Wellingtonians finishing with a narrow 21-23 loss.

The second XV had a tough day at the office with limited front row availability they struggled against Old Reigatians .

The senior sides have been working hard as they come towards the last few fixtures of the season.

The men’s 1st have had a few tough games in a row with a 34-14 defeat to Cranleigh RFC.

The second XV have had mixed results and most recently beat against Raccal Decca RFC 38-24.

The ladies are still sitting third in the league, having comfortably secured bonus point wins against Ashford and more recently Becchehamians. Having narrowly lost to Beccehamians at this point last season, getting a solid 34-5 victory away from home demonstrates how far the team has come in the last twelve months.

The development XV also put in a solid performance against Oxford University Panthers, winning 25-5.
