Portuguese striking sensation Luis Medina is on course to challenge for the title of the league’s top scorer after another hat trick took his tally to 14.

The season continues to be a good one for The Rams who have strung together some good results in February to maintain their top three challenge.

The forward ensured they took all three points in a 4-3 win to Corinthian, their third away win in a row.

Medina pictured in action scored his third in a tightly fort match in the 85th minute. The Rams were less impressive in a crushing 5-0 defeat against Canterbury City but got a point from a 0-0 midweek home tie against Hollands and Blair and then beat Chatham Town 2-0 with another fine goal contribution from Medina.

AFC Croydon Athletic head in to the final 10 games in fifth place in the Southern Counties East Football League, writes Paul Smith.

March may well turn out to be a crucial month and it begins and ends with games against top of the table Sevenoaks Town. On March 3, the league leaders come to Mayfield Stadium in Thornton Heath for what promises to be an exciting encounter.

If you haven’t been to Mayfield Stadium before then this would be a great place to start.

Then before making  the return trip to take on Sevenoaks, The Rams have games against Rusthall on St Patrick’s Day followed by a long Tuesday night trip down to Whitstable Town who are third in the league.

These early months of the year can be difficult with bad weather putting paid to a number of games.   However, this hasn’t stopped The Rams U16 side under the management of Lee North, challenging for medal glory.   His team, who won the U15 League Cup last season, have made it through to the U16 League Cup Final.   They will take on Whyteleafe at Chipstead FC on Sunday April 15.

This is certainly a reward for all their hard work, not just this season but over a number of years that the team has been together.
