Thornton Heath’s Bus Garage has been a hive of activity this weekend with volunteers turning out in force to  help transform the space in front of the garage. 

The Thornton Heath  Community Action Team joined forces with Arriva to tidy and weed as part of a long term project.

As you can see from these before and after photographs there has been a dramatic change and the team of volunteers received a lot of praise from passers by.

The tidy up included removing weeds, rubbish and ivy  from the garden in front of the bus garage. THCAT is working with the bus garage staff to  make over the garden and turn it in to a mini oasis with planting and seating.
