The festive decorating of this year’s Thornton Heath Christmas tree on Saturday 7 December from 2pm.

For the last six years Thornton Heath Community Action Team has sourced a Christmas tree for the centre of Thornton Heath.
The tree which has been located at the Clocktower and at Ambassador House will for the first time be situated  outside the former Doris Florist shop at the station.

Adults and children alike are invited to gather with cakes and mince  pies  which are handed out to passers-by while great fun is had decorating the tree. This year piano teacher Alison Doubleday will be accompanying the carol singing  on her electric keyboard from 2-2.30pm.

Chair of THCAT Linda Watson, said: “THCAT is very pleased to be able to add some sparkle and festive spirit to the area near the station.  Many people say how much they have enjoyed this event.”
