Building on a universal love of sport a new project is using sports to unite refugees and help them feel more connected to their local communities.

In 2018 Croydon Voluntary Action was delighted to be one of a few organisations to get £139,000 from the Sport Unites programme by the Mayor of London’s London Together Fund.

The project has been devised as a response to the 2017 We Stand Together meeting where CVA committed to support refugee organisations to promote community cohesiveness.

As part of the funding award, CVA aims to resurrect the Refugee Forum which stopped meeting due to lack of funding.

Organisations supporting refugees and sports club, who would welcome more engagement from refugees
