Detectives investigating the abduction of three children arrested a man at an address on Thornton Heath High Street. He was the sixteenth to be detained in the search for three children, and their father, Imran Safi.

The 30-year-old was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap and possession of an offensive weapon on Tuesday (Sept 29).

Detectives have also offered a £20,000 reward for information leading to the safe return of Bilal, Mohammed Ebrar and Mohammed Yassen, aged six, five and three.

The three boys who were taken from foster care by their father have not been seen since Thursday August 20 at 6pm.

Officers released this image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the abduction who was in a vehicle, a red Nissan Qashqai, registration PK13 WFO.
