A man who exposed himself on a bus in front of women and children has been jailed for 16 weeks.

Bobby Garande, 27, of Melfort Road, pleaded guilty to exposure in June.and served his sentence while on remand. Last month he was also given a Criminal Behaviour Order at Croydon Crown Court.

The court heard how Garande was travelling on the NO.50 bus from Croydon to Norbury on May 27 when two women boarded the bus and sat opposite him, alongside two children. Another woman boarded sitting near to Garande.

CCTV showed he began to touch himself inappropriately over his trousers, before exposing himself while staring at the women.

PC Andy Morland, said: “This is not the first time that Garande has committed an offence like this. Exposure and other sexual acts on buses are a rare occurrence and I want to reassure members of the public that we take cases like this extremely seriously.”
