Three men have been arrested for numerous offences after a police chase through Thornton Heath.

They have been arrested on suspicion theft, drug dealing and driving offences following the pursuit and remain in police custody.

The Metropolitan Police said at around 5.30pm on Thursday, August 31 a car failed to stop for police on Sandringham Road, and instead sped off through nearby streets.

During the chase the fleeing vehicle smashed into a parked car on Bensham Manor Road.

In a separate incident the Met police helicopter was launched on Thursday afternoon to help officers on the ground.

Police were called to the scene of a reported robbery by two men on motorbikes or mopeds in on Brigstock Road at around 3.10pm.

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said that two men whose faces were covered by helmets reportedly used separate motorbikes or mopeds in the raid.

The reported robbery is thought to have taken place close to the Whitehorse Manor School site.
