Detectives investigating a double assault on board a bus in Thornton Heath, which left a man with head injuries, have released images of four girls they want to identify in connection with the unprovoked attack.

The two victims – a man and a woman – were attacked with a bottle and a crutch by the group of girls while travelling on the 250 bus from Streatham to Croydon in the early hours.

The four teenagers had boarded the bus at around 12.30am on August 28.
Their victims were sitting towards the rear on the top deck of the bus and the group sat behind them. As the bus was in the vicinity of Brigstock Road, the woman was struck with a bottle by the group.
Both the man and the woman moved from their seats but they were followed before the man was struck with a crutch. The group of females then left the bus.
The man required hospital treatment for a head injury.
The group were captured on bus cameras and one of the four can be seen wearing a distinctive black and white Nike tracksuit top.
Anyone who recognises the females pictured or who has information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD235/28Aug2022.
