If you want a hassle free Christmas Day then look no further than Sista’s Kitchen who will be serving up a festive Caribbean feast with a special welcome  for people who feel lonely or isolated in Thornton Heath over the festivities.

Put your pots and pans away and head to St Paul’s Church for a five course dinner combining traditional dishes with a Caribbean twist and dishes for vegetarian and vegan diners.

Sista’s kitchen is the brain child of best friends Diane Bell and Bev Cornwall whose cuisine is based on English and a Jamaican influence. Dishes such as roast Chicken, baked potatoes, rice and peas, curried goat and more will be served on the day in a festive setting.

Tickets  for the dinner between 4-8pm cost £49.10 for adults, £22.15 for children aged six to 15 and under fives go free.

If you  are unable to physically attend on the day, Sista’s Kitchen are happy to prepare a festive platter to eat at home.

Diane used to live in Thornton Heath and is the first cousin of local resident Cheryl Johnson.Cheryl said: “Diane and Bev have an excellent reputation where their cuisine and baking are concerned! A few years ago Diane started by inviting a few people to dinner on Christmas Day. Over the years the attendance has grown to having over 25 people to dinner which has now outgrown her home!

“Having a festive dinner in a social setting has been a longtime dream.

“This year, St Paul’s Church  has helped to make this happen. It would be fantastic if local residents and or members of St Paul’s church would join in this selfless concept. Too many people are lonely and isolated with no-where to go on Christmas Day. Isolation is one of the biggest areas of concern in the community.”
